We are thrilled to share the overwhelming success of The State of Voices of Muslims Gala & Fundraiser! This event wasn’t just a gathering; it was a vibrant showcase of our community’s commitment, unity, and drive for positive change. To everyone who joined us, sponsored, volunteered, and contributed, your support is the reason our event made such a powerful impact across Georgia.
Celebrating Our Community’s Generous Support
First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who bought tickets, attended, and amplified our voices. Your presence and enthusiasm helped bring our mission to life. We’re incredibly grateful to the nonprofit organizations that sponsored our event, including Masjid Al-Momineen and Masjid Al-Rahman, as well as the individual community members who co-hosted and made the evening special. With every ticket purchased, conversation shared, and connection built, you played an essential role in strengthening the Voices of Muslims (VoM).
A United Effort
The evening was filled with contributions from all corners of our community. Our invited guests, vendor partners, talented artists, dedicated board members, and remarkable young leaders who volunteered all brought their passion and expertise, creating an unforgettable experience. Special thanks go to Br. Sheikh Shamikh Sahadat of ICNA Relief for his inspiring energy as he hosted our fundraiser, going above and beyond to help us reach our goals. We were also honored by the presence of Senator Sheikh Rahman, Senator Nabila Islam Parkes, and Representative Farooq Mughal, whose support reflects the growing recognition of our collective voice.
A Platform for Amplifying Our Voices
The evening was truly elevated by a unifying and inspirational keynote speech delivered by Congressman Hank Johnson. His powerful words resonated with our mission, reinforcing the importance of our collective voice and encouraging continued unity and action within our community. This impactful moment was complemented by the attendance of 62 legislators and new candidates, from city officials to U.S. Congressional representatives, underscoring the growing recognition and support for Voices of Muslims. Although election season prevented some legislators from attending, the outpouring of encouragement we received was inspiring and affirming.
Gratitude for Our VoM Executive Team & Volunteers
The success of our Gala would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our VoM Executive Team—Directors Tanjina Islam, Asra Mansoor, and Don Mahmood. Their tireless efforts and leadership ensured the event was impactful, well-organized, and resourceful, bringing our community together for an unforgettable evening.
We are also immensely grateful to our incredible volunteers, whose enthusiasm and commitment were the backbone of this event. Special thanks to Haroon Khader, Sania Khader, Ammar Siddiqui, Hania Sherfudeen, Tehreem Baloch, Zaid Baloch, Zeynep Ozdemir, Kevser, Erva Orbay, Yasmeena Demaj, Akbar Ali, Kashif Sajid, and Saqib Chaudhry. Each of you played an invaluable role in making the Gala a memorable success, and we couldn’t be prouder of the young leaders who stepped up to support our mission. Thank you for your energy, dedication, and passion for our community!
Looking Forward
As we look to the future, our commitment to uplifting and supporting the Muslim community in Georgia is stronger than ever. We’re excited to announce that next year will bring the launch of impactful new programs that will continue to unite and empower us. Together, we will work towards building one of Georgia’s most influential Muslim 501(c)(4) organizations, strengthening our collective voice for generations to come.
Thank you again for standing with us, supporting VoM, and believing in the power of our community. InSha’Allah, with your ongoing support, we’ll continue to achieve great things. Stay connected with us—together, we are building a brighter future.
Thank You to Our Sponsors & Supporters
